We only began NAET treatments with Helen Bowman for our son Charlie a few weeks ago. Charlie is three years old and has autism. He suffered from terrible fear and anxiety in a addition to his other autistic traits and problems. Charlie was extremely handicapped by his fears and would be completely terrified going to see Helen the first few times. He also had a chronic asthmatic cough whereby he would cough violently every night sometimes making himself vomit. I can confidently say that within these very few short weeks our son has transformed into a confident, happy, calm, and social little boy whose learning has completely taken off at an astonishing rate. In one day, after almost a year of trying and being unsuccessful, he learnt to peddle his tricycle and his bigger bike with stabilisers and not only this, he learnt how to bounce on a space hopper too! These may seem like small things to many parents but any parent of a child with autism will marvel at such progress in only one day! Please may I tell you briefly how NAET treatment for fear of bridges has enabled me to successfully cross the Humber Bridge, a large exposed suspension bridge. I have always had a very real fear of crossing the Humber Bridge, the last time I did so prior to the NAET treatment was eight years ago. It always resulted in profuse sweating, my face turning green (according to my children), severe heart palpitations and vertigo. I felt so ill I thought I was going to pass out with the fear. Boy 16 years old had eczema from the age of 6 months, when weaned from breast feeding. He presented in the clinic with itchy skin, he looked quite healthy with a tan, and his skin was not broken or scaly, however, when he ate certain things his skin would itch unbearably. Orthodox treatment at the doctors and in the hospital had not helped. He ate a very healthy diet and hot not had any vaccinations. He was treated for the first fifteen NAET treatments and was checked for many contact allergens. The first fifteen had eased the itching; however he occasionally had a flare up within moments of eating. He recorded the foods he ate and all were checked and not found to need treatment. On questioning further it turned out that the flare ups occurred when the food was baked or cooked in aluminum foil. After NAET treatment for aluminum he remains symptom free.

I first encountered NAET when I was in France visiting my daughter. Her father-in-law is a NAET practitioner and solved a problem with my eyes (extreme dryness and constant infections) which he found was due to an allergic reaction to computer screens. I was absolutely amazed when he completely healed me with one treatment! Once home I went on the internet and found three practitioners within a reasonable distance from home. A while ago you were asking for opinions on NAET. At that time I was unsure of its value but no longer.
I have struggled with food intolerances for years and have tried food rotation, probiotics, VEGA testing, different meats from Barrow Boar, colonic irrigation, digestive enzymes, NHS allergists, and everything I could find that might help. On John Scott's suggestion I found I could dowse the food and now my pendulum is my trusty friend.
I read about NAET in Foods Matter and found my nearest practitioner on the internet, Helen Bowman in Huggate in East Yorkshire. She is the chief practitioner in England. NAET works! I have no doubt at all. It has not been an overnight cure for me. It has required persistence but at last I am not isolated by food restrictions and I feel well. After a long period of investigation, culminating in an exclusion diet, the long-term gastric problems I had suffered from were confirmed as being due to intolerance to wheat. Question: What is NAET?
Answer: NAET is an acronym for Nambudridpad’s Allergy Elimination Technique, NAET first developed in California by Dr Devi Nambudripad in 1983, is a revolutionary approach to allergy treatment based on principles from the fields of allopathic (Western medical knowledge), chropractic, acupuncture, kinesiology and nutrition. NAET is natural, non-invasive and drug free holistic treatment.
Question: How does NAET work?
Answer: In some ways the body works very much like a computer. It is programmed to respond in certain ways. NAET treatments reprogram the nervous system so that the immune system stops attacking food, irritants, chemicals or anything else a person is allergic to. Once the body accepts reprogramming, it heals itself.
Question: Who is Dr Devi Nambudripad?

Question: How likely is it that allergies are a cause of my health problems?

Question: How is the NAET testing and treament carried out?
Answer: Neuromuscular sensitivity testing is used to assess the body’s reaction to specific substances, it is painless. The treamtent is given on the basis of acupuncture and chiropractic techniques; acupressure on the back to open the meridians and stimulate the spinal nerves followed by acupuncture point massage on the limbs. It is safe and painless for patients of all ages, even frail and ill patients.
Question: Why does NAET help so much with illness?
Answer: Many sick people have metabolic and biochemical imbalances. When NAET clears senstivities to vitamins, minerals, and basic foods the body can come more into balance and healing can take place.
Question: When will I see results of the NAET treatments and are the treatments permanent?
Answer: Most patients will see changes after 6 – 8 treatments, some see immediate results. NAET treatments are almost always permanent, once rebalanced the body stays that way unless it suffers a major trauma.
Question: How many treatments NAET will I need?
Answer: At the initial appointment a full case history and exam will be made so it can be assessed how many visits you would benefit from. The Basic 15 must be checked as they are crucial for good health. It will depend how long you have been suffering as to how many treatments are needed. Most patients clear the allergen at one visit so long as the advice for the following 25 hours is adhered to. Keep in mind that most illnesses result from multiple allergies, and each one must be treated separately before the body can function normally.
Question: I am allergic to movement and many things in my home, can you help me?
Answer: You can stay overnight locally to the clinic so that household things and motion sickness can be avoided as it is essential to avoid the treated sensitivity for 25 hours after the treatment for the treatment to be successful.
Question: Do I have to avoid all the allergens you find?
Answer: You only have to avoid the allergens for approximately 25 hours after the treatment for each specific allergen, after this you can reintroduce them after testing the treatment has cleared and the body rebalanced.
Question: Is the allergy treatment just for food and hayfever?
Answer: No. All allergies however minor or extremely debilitating can be treated from ingestants, injectants, inhalants, to contactants and autoimmune responses. This means everything you eat, drink, touch, and autoimmune reactions to your self.
Question: I seem to be sensitive, intolerant and allergic to so many things, how is it possible to find out if allergy treatments help me?
Answer: There is a standard protocol to follow that assists in finding these sensitivities, fifteen basic allergens are tested initially and if sensitivity is shown then each one treated individually. This protocol together with a full case history defines the path of the allergy elimination treatment.
Question: How can I prepare to travel across the world back packing to avoid aliments when I do not want to be vaccinated?
